BRUTALIST jewellery collection

Emma’s Brutalist jewellery collection is inspired by the miminalist style of Brutalist architecture.

Emma seeks to emulate the boldness of the movement by using strong, structural elements in silver paired with geometrically cut tourmalines and other semi-precious gemstones in various shapes and colours in rich 18ct gold settings.

As epitomised by the Barbican Centre and the National Theatre in London, Brutalism is an architectural style which emerged in the 1950’s in the UK. It emphasizes the importance of materials, structural elements and textural pattern over purely decorative design. Emma Farquharson worked at the National Theatre in the late 80’s and the influence on her jewellery designs is apparent in her strong, distinct shapes. Gemstones like tourmaline, aquamarine and diamonds feature in the rings shown here which are all set in 18ct gold.

All rings are unique but similar styles can be made to order.
